PJ Floors
Worth Saving
PJ was planned as a satellite town in the 1950s, and some of its oldest sections still hold single-storey and double-storey houses from the decades that followed. Many were laid with merbau strip flooring or small parquet squares, and under a century of polish and wax the timber is often still sound.
Restoring one of these floors is closer to conservation than renovation. We take off only as much as needed, repair what has loosened, and choose a coating that lets the grain show. Owners who thought replacement was the only option are frequently surprised.

Floor Jobs
Look out for merbau strip floors, small parquet squares and similar signs.
Merbau strip floors
Narrow boards laid decades ago, often dulled by wax build-up that must be stripped first.
Small parquet squares
Hollow-sounding patches where the old adhesive has let go.
Owner-to-tenant conversions
Houses split into rooms for tenants, with heavy wear in shared corridors.
Kitchen and porch extensions
New concrete slabs meeting old timber, where levels and colours rarely match.
Petaling Jaya

Section 14
Mixed residential and commercial area where after-hours work suits offices and shops.
Damansara Jaya
Established landed homes with large living areas finished in stages for a smooth sheen.
Kelana Jaya
Condos and townhouses near the lake where engineered boards get a buff and recoat.
Taman Medan
Family homes where dull, scratched floors are sanded and protected at a clear price.

We measure above the tongue, tap for hollow patches and plan how much to remove.
